Focus on designing, testing, and implementing ML models, analyzing model performance, and determining new approaches for risk detection.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands. Relocation not possible.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize advanced analytics models for Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
• Set up automatic monitoring for existing models and collect insights with stakeholders.
• Develop new CDD models to detect risky customers, balancing effectiveness and explainability.
• Report on model performance, analyze findings, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Determine new approaches, challenger models, and proof of concepts to combat economic crime.
• Support junior colleagues and ensure consistency in best practices.

Requirements

• Academic degree (MSc / PhD) in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics and machine learning modeling, ideally with large data sets.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Spark.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills in English.
• Pro-active, customer-centric, and can-do mentality.
• Must be located in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Databricks.
• Experience with Agile working.
