• Write high-quality, hands-on code setting standards for the engineering team.
• Define and drive technical direction across multiple teams and projects.
• Champion technical vision and coordinate cross-team feature development.
• Design technical solutions, review code, and ensure high-quality engineering delivery.
• Plan and sequence major system changes and rollouts.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster team growth and alignment.

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 8+ years experience with GoLang, C++, or equivalent languages.
• 4+ years experience developing distributed systems at scale.
• Experience leading complex, long-term projects including design, delivery, and operation.
• Proven mentorship and leadership skills.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Los Angeles or Mercer Island, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with matchmaking or competitive multiplayer systems.
• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and continuous delivery.
