What you will do

• Design and scale hirify.global’s core database infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert on MySQL and database administration.
• Develop and maintain tooling for operating database systems and self-service for developers.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Develop and design plans for disaster recovery and system failovers.
• Cultivate open source projects developed at hirify.global.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• 3+ years experience using monitoring tooling such as Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, or VividCortex.
• 3+ years experience building, deploying, and maintaining MySQL or PostgreSQL at scale in Linux environments.
