What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services for Fortnite's ecommerce features including virtual currency, subscriptions, and in-game store.
• Collaborate with client-side programmers to build efficient end-to-end solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of backend services including deployment and live operations.
• Work with cross-functional teams including DevOps, infrastructure, and producers to deliver solutions.
• Assess challenges, design solutions, and implement them independently.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in London, United Kingdom
• Experience developing scalable web services in cloud environments (Java, AWS).
• Experience with ecommerce systems and integrating with mobile or console store APIs.
• Experience operating live services including monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Eager to collaborate and share knowledge within a team.
• Nice to have: experience with client-side development (C++, Unreal Engine) and familiarity with non-relational databases and auth models (DynamoDB, Redis, OAuth).
