TL;DR

Software Engineer (Biotechnology): Design, build, and operate platform systems fundamental to modeling complex science in biotechnology with an accent on data modeling, API design, and platform scalability. Location: Boston, MA, hybrid with 3 days in office per week

Salary: $165,113–$223,388

What you will do

  • Lead high-impact projects from design through deployment and operation.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across platform and application teams.
  • Contribute to team growth and improve engineering processes and tools.
  • Enhance maintainability, consistency, scalability, and developer experience of internal data modeling APIs.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be willing to work onsite in San Francisco office 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
  • 5+ years of fulltime software engineering experience, ideally in SaaS and platform development.
  • Proficiency in backend development, API design, and data management; web application experience desirable.
  • Experience leading projects independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.

  • Interest and willingness to learn in the life sciences domain.
