What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable web services and applications
• Establish and promote engineering best practices within the team and across Twitch
• Mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth
• Collaborate with engineering teams on complex projects and product planning

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden
• 6+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years architecting scalable applications
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, database management, concurrency, data modeling, and distributed systems
• Experience with web frontend architecture and strong technical judgment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• English: Required (job posting in English)

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services in production
• Experience with Kotlin/Java in production systems
• Knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
