What you will do

• Lead full software development lifecycle for release engineering systems from design to operation.
• Design and build automation systems orchestrating release processes using hirify.global.
• Develop and maintain build tooling, deployment workflows, and release infrastructure ensuring safety and consistency.
• Own and operate production-grade release systems, participate in on-call rotations.
• Continuously improve automation, release cadence, and feedback loops to reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve release processes and share best practices.

Requirements

• Must be located in Canada or able to work remotely from Canada.
• Experience building or operating release engineering, build, or deployment systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Go or other modern programming languages.
• Familiarity with hirify.global or similar workflow orchestration systems preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud providers (AWS, GCP), and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and release automation best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong technical judgment balancing safety, velocity, and maintainability.
