Software Engineering Manager (AppSec)

Location: Ramat Gan, Israel. Role involves collaborating with local and remote (multi-geo) teams.

What you will do

• Lead and inspire 3-4 R&D teams (totaling ~20 engineers, including team leads).
• Build and scale high-performing teams through mentorship, professional development, and recruitment.
• Drive design, architecture, and implementation across multiple product domains, ensuring technical excellence and high quality.
• Define and own a major part of the product’s functional and technical roadmap, partnering closely with Product Management.
• Foster innovation, encouraging experimentation, incubation, and adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate effectively across hirify.global’s global organization, including Product, Customer Success, and Support teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing R&D groups and engineering managers.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong backend development background with experience in microservices, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale systems using modern agile methodologies (Scrum, CI/CD, TDD, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills – able to clearly articulate technical and strategic concepts.
• Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; a true team builder with a hands-on approach.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Go (Golang).
• Background in cybersecurity or application security domains.
