TL;DR

Staff Backend Engineer (Go): Defining and contributing to the technical vision and architecture for a global marketplace with an accent on building maintainable software solutions and scaling efficiently. Focus on designing distributed systems, operating in service-oriented architectures, and mentoring engineers.

Location: Hybrid in Paris or Barcelona (2 remote days a week and 1 remote work week per quarter)

What you will do

  • Understand customer needs, business vision, and decisions.
  • Define and contribute to the architecture vision across the tech division.
  • Think long-term and make high-judgment decisions for maintainable software solutions.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership and mentor team engineers.
  • Take accountability for the entire technical ecosystem, including tools, languages, and software practices.
  • Contribute actively to the company's external visibility through networking, speaking at tech events, and open-source contributions.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Go (even if Python is the main language at hirify.global).
  • Technical expertise building distributed systems.
  • Experience successfully operating in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information.
