Location: Hybrid from Gdynia, Gdańsk, or Warszawa (2-3 days per week in office)

Salary: 1100-1300 PLN/day (B2B)

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize large-scale distributed data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows orchestrated in Airflow and Oozie.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of Spark jobs through tuning, partitioning, and memory optimization.
• Implement high-quality, testable code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to support analytics, AML/KYC, and regulatory reporting use cases.
• Monitor data quality, perform profiling, and manage schema consistency across datasets.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of software development experience with Scala
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with big data technologies
• Proven experience working with large-scale data processing (multi-terabyte datasets)
• Background in financial services or RegTech (preferred).
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
• English language proficiency for daily international interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Quantexa platform.
• Experience migrating workflows from Oozie to Airflow.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Understanding of graph analytics and entity resolution techniques.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance systems.
