Android Software Engineer

What you will do

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to design and implement new Android features and architectures.
• Develop Android apps using Kotlin and modern frameworks with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
• Write and maintain comprehensive test coverage including unit and instrumentation tests.
• Perform code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with cloud services and developer tools such as AWS, Firebase, GitHub, and SauceLabs.
• Apply modern architectural patterns like MVVM and MVI and follow Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Berlin area with ability to work onsite at least 80% of the time
• 2-4 years of hands-on Android development experience with Kotlin (Java is a plus).
• Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose (or motivation to learn), Gradle, RESTful APIs, and modern Android architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, code reviews, and clean code principles.
• Collaborative mindset and proactive attitude in cross-functional teams.
• English: Required at least B2 level (job posting in English)

• Experience with large-scale or high-traffic products.

• Familiarity with Linux or macOS command line environments.
