Senior Service Designer

TL;DR

Senior Service Designer (Product Management): Lead the design and improvement of end-to-end public services using systemic Service Design approaches with an accent on strategic facilitation, service lifecycle management, and measurable public sector outcomes. Focus on designing seamless online and offline services, coaching teams, and influencing organisational change through user-centred design and stakeholder collaboration.

What you will do

• Lead and assure the design and delivery of public services applying a holistic Service Design lens across technology, policy, process, and organisation.
• Build service design maturity by facilitating design processes and setting strategic expectations with senior stakeholders.
• Design, prototype, and test seamless online and offline services ensuring alignment of organisational, service, and user outcomes.
• Champion Service Design practice internally and externally through community participation, training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Support commercial efforts by contributing strategic Service Design thinking and reviewing bids related to service transformation.
• Represent and advocate for user-centred Service Design publicly and internally, contributing to company principles and hiring efforts.

Requirements

• English: B2 level or higher required
• Location: Hybrid work with part-time remote in the UK
• Expertise in core Service Design tools including Service Blueprints, Ecosystem Maps, Stakeholder Maps, and prototyping tools like Figma.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor other designers and set Service Design standards.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder groups and delivering strategic service improvements.
• Willingness to undertake SC clearance if successful.
