🦄 Description
EXD – Extra Dimensional is a high-end PCVR game pushing immersive combat and enemy interaction in room-scale VR. The team is seeking an experienced Unreal Engine specialist focused on AI and enemy design to help build responsive, challenging, and deeply immersive VR combat encounters. You will work directly with the existing codebase, expanding and refining AI systems, behaviours, and interactions to ensure enemies feel dynamic, physically grounded, and engaging.

🚀 Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and iterate on enemy behaviours that support immersive, responsive VR combat
• Refine combat systems to ensure enemies react believably to player actions, physics, and spatial interaction
• Enhance existing AI systems for responsiveness, challenge, and performance in VR
• Integrate and adjust animation logic using Animation Blueprints, State Machines, and blending setups
• Work within and improve the existing codebase, adding custom tasks, contexts, and EQS logic as needed
• Balance AI behaviours for VR-specific constraints, including player movement, comfort, and performance
• Collaborate closely with the team to refine encounters and ensure high-quality, physical-feeling combat

📚 Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience with Unreal Engine
• Strong proficiency with Blueprints and/or C++
• Deep knowledge of Animation Systems: Animation Blueprints, State Machines, blending
• Strong experience with AI Systems: Perception/Sensing, Behaviour Trees, Blackboards, Custom Tasks, Contexts, EQS
• Proven experience working on high-end VR games (PCVR preferred)
• Understanding of physics-based combat, collisions, ragdolls, and melee interaction in VR
• Ability to read, refine, and optimize existing code
• Experience balancing AI for VR performance and gameplay constraints

👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with Advanced Locomotion System (ALS)
• Background in VR-specific enemy design patterns
• Performance optimization for VR, physics-driven combat, or procedural animation
