What you will do

• Operate and maintain IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Prepare for and support new or changed services, managing the change process and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor system and service performance in relation to business objectives.
• Provide service-level reporting, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
• Oversee bought-in external services such as public networks, VPNs, and outsourced solutions.
• Advise clients on product usage, troubleshoot issues, and guide on resolutions to ensure high client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proficiency in z/OS administration, system configuration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Mainframe programming and tools, including JCL for batch processing.
• Familiarity with CICS, VSAM, and IMS-DB for transaction and data management.
• Knowledge of DB2 administration, SQL, and understanding of hierarchical and relational data structures.
• Experience with RACF fundamentals and mainframe security principles and compliance.
• Ability to apply Agile and Scrum methodologies in Mainframe environments, including automation using zOSMF, Zowe, and Ansible.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Mainframe Modernization strategies.
• Experience with z/OS Workload Manager and performance tools.
• Skills in capacity planning and optimization for critical workloads.
• Certifications such as Interskill Badges for Mainframe fundamentals, SMP/E, RACF, z/OS performance, and Mainframe Modernization Specialist badges.
