What you will do

• Research, reconcile, and prepare tax returns and payments for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Create and reconcile journal entries for tax payments and generate EFTPS payments to the IRS.
• Maintain portal access and client tax information for various jurisdictions.
• Research and resolve payroll tax issues raised by stakeholders and customers.
• Create and file amended returns as needed and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Must have 2+ years of payroll tax filing experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines.
