Lead CX/UX Designer (Health AI): Leading efforts to establish a cohesive design vision and culture for the UpToDate Expert AI application with an accent on intuitive experiences across multiple platforms and touchpoints. Focus on empowering clinicians with intelligent, intuitive tools and redefining how clinical knowledge is accessed and applied at the point of care.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 8 days a month in a hirify.global office within 50 miles of your location in the ET/CT time zones in the USA. Available offices include Princeton, NJ; Coppell, TX; Harrisburg, PA; Clayton, MO; Austin, TX.

What you will do

• Lead efforts to establish a cohesive design vision and culture for the UpToDate Expert AI application.
• Expand UpToDate Expert AI’s capabilities and deliver intuitive experiences across multiple platforms and touchpoints.
• Collaborate as a liaison among UX, product, clinical, and technology teams to ensure design standards of excellence are met.
• Work with limited guidance, making design decisions independently.
• Contribute to redefining how clinical knowledge is accessed and applied at the point of care.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience working as a Lead UX designer, ideally within an agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communication & Multimedia Design/Media Technology, Information Architecture, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building mobile web and native applications.
• Familiarity with principles of Lean Product and Lean UX.
• Experience working with design systems and creating UX patterns.
• Mastery of design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, particularly in payer and provider sectors.
• Agency experience.
• Deep understanding of typography, color, layout, and motion design principles.
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
