Senior Software Engineer (Operational Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland (minimum three days per week onsite)

What you will do

• Design and implement new and existing communication protocols for OT products
• Develop protocol specifications, documentation, and reference implementations
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate protocols into applications
• Conduct performance benchmarking, scalability testing, and optimization
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices
• Debug and resolve interoperability issues across platforms

Requirements

• Location: Must work onsite in Krakow office minimum three days per week
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs
• Proficiency in C++, Golang, Python, and metrics-driven development (Prometheus)
• Experience with modern development tools like git and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging skills and ability to maintain code quality under pressure

Nice to have

• Experience with OT technology stacks such as Rockwell, ODVA Protocols, Siemens, Profinet, and Profibus
