Technical Product Owner

TL;DR

Technical Product Owner (Medical Devices): Prioritizing and managing the product backlog to deliver industry-leading software applications with an accent on documenting, analyzing, and prioritizing requirements. Focus on transforming business priorities into technical requirements, leading Agile ceremonies, and creating corporate procedures related to requirement management and system engineering.

Location: While this is a remote role, the selected candidate will be required to physically reside in Chicago, IL or nearby surrounding area.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00

What you will do

• Translate product road map to features.
• Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, and engaging with implementation team.
• Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams.
• Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Transform business priorities into technical requirements.
• Contribute to and creating corporate procedures that are related to requirement management and system engineering.

Requirements

• Ability to document complex products and systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in engineering and product development.
• Demonstrate ability to think both strategically and tactically.
• Thorough knowledge of both web-based and desktop applications.
• Experience with Medical devices or regulated healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps/TFS.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• Strong technical understanding of requirements methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Experience in agile development, SAFe.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and business processes in the medical device industry – or any other regulated industry.
