Staff Infrastructure Engineer (AWS): Building and optimizing cloud-native banking platform for global deployment with an accent on secure, scalable, and reliable AWS infrastructure. Location: Our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of one of our offices, with an agreement to be in the office at least once or twice per week for collaboration.

What you will do

• Deliver large, complex, and impactful projects covering multiple engineering domains.
• Work with stakeholders to design hybrid-cloud systems, utilizing AWS and co-located Payment HSMs in physical data centres globally.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of cloud environments while managing costs.
• Champion Engine’s standards and procedures throughout the Technology department.
• Share knowledge with colleagues by writing technical documentation and leading training sessions.
• Have a passion for learning new technologies and keeping up to date with industry trends.

Requirements

• Experience architecting, delivering, and maintaining multiple complex AWS based infrastructure projects from design through to production.
• Firm understanding of security concepts such as (M)TLS, secrets management, encryption, and RBAC.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, containers, distributed systems, and immutable infrastructure.
• Key contributor to the remediation of production-impacting incidents.
• Understanding of how to design systems and processes that can meet future scaling requirements.
• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and automation using a scripting language such as Go.
