Head of Engineering (PHP)

Location: Vilnius, Kaunas, or Šiauliai, Lithuania; hybrid workplace. An unlimited work-from-home policy and work-from-anywhere options in approved countries are also available.

What you will do

• Define the unit’s technical direction, identity, and IT strategy with the Head of Business Unit.
• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop engineering team members while supporting career growth.
• Own technical and architectural solutions, project kick-offs, infrastructure compliance, and delivery quality.
• Identify technical risks, resolve issues with teams and clients, and implement preventive measures.
• Guide new customer landing processes and identify technology-driven business opportunities for existing clients.
• Contribute to the unit’s overall performance and financial targets.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the PHP ecosystem or another object-oriented programming language such as .NET or Java.
• Experience managing technical teams, establishing processes, driving change, mentoring, resolving conflicts, and monitoring performance.
• Experience delivering complex business projects and key initiatives.
• Strong understanding of complex, scalable system architectures and effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in both Lithuanian and English.
