Salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD base salary

What you will do

• Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services for financial services, including clearing, settlement, lending, and trading.
• Own functionality and scalability features, taking responsibility from inception to deployment and customer integration.
• Expose and document functionality for UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling.
• Collaborate closely with all engineering teams and product managers to ensure consistency in technical requirements and work quality.
• Provide mentorship to peers within the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices.

Requirements

• Experience with server-side languages like Golang, TypeScript/Node.JS, Java, or Python.
• At least 2 years of backend, server-side software development experience.
• Experience developing or supporting financial accounting systems, such as general ledger and bookkeeping functions.
• Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres, and confident with RESTful API design.
• Great with unit and functional testing, debugging, Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, and CI tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university.
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
• Great at algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.
• Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry.
• Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems.
