Software Engineer - Settlement Systems (Golang)

TL;DR

Location: Full-time onsite at our Toronto office

Salary: $165,000 - $200,000 CAD base salary

What you will do

• Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services for financial services.
• Own functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment and customer integration.
• Expose and document functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and product managers to ensure consistency and quality.
• Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and best practices education.

Requirements

• Experience with server-side languages like Golang, TypeScript/Node.JS, Java, Python.
• At least 2 years of backend, server-side software development.
• Experience developing or supporting financial accounting systems.
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL or Postgres) and RESTful API design.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline.
• Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.
• Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry.
