What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust Android framework features and system services.
• Build and optimize APIs and middleware components that enable partner applications and device functionality.
• Work closely with application teams to integrate partner app requirements using Android framework services.
• Debug framework-level issues and optimize performance within the Android framework layer.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and QA teams to ensure device-level features work seamlessly.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance on Android framework best practices within the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Android framework development and system service design.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with knowledge of concurrency patterns (coroutines, flows).
• Experience designing and implementing Android Services, Intents, AIDL, and IPC.
• Familiarity with Android SDK and framework-layer components, including ActivityManager, CameraManager, and DisplayManager.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and performance optimization skills within the framework layer.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with video/audio partner apps like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet.
• Knowledge of Jetpack libraries, Android application lifecycle, and framework best practices.
• Exposure to WebRTC or Chromium WebView integration.
