What you will do

• Lead design and implementation of scalable, reliable monetization systems (checkout, trials, subscriptions, pricing)
• Define and drive technical roadmap aligning engineering with business priorities
• Architect AI/ML-powered solutions for conversion optimization and churn prediction
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects with direct revenue impact
• Establish engineering best practices and improve system reliability
• Mentor and elevate technical capabilities of a team of engineers
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Design teams

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work remotely from Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, or Saskatchewan, Canada
• 12+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years at senior or staff level
• Strong fullstack skills with React, TypeScript, Python, Go or similar
• Proven leadership in complex technical projects and architectural decisions
• Experience designing scalable, high-reliability systems
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical strategy
• Strong product intuition balancing technical excellence and business impact

Nice to have

• Experience with monetization, payments, checkout, or e-commerce platforms
• Background in growth engineering, conversion optimization, or experimentation
• Familiarity with ML/AI applications in personalization or funnel optimization
• Experience with subscription-based or SaaS business models
• Prior experience at large-scale companies with millions of users
