What you will do

• Test database functionality, data structures, and backend data flows for the hirify.global platform and encrypted vault
• Validate CRUD operations, indexing, schema updates, migrations, and cross-service data interactions
• Verify data integrity, consistency, and correctness across distributed systems and cloud environments
• Execute SQL queries and review schema changes, stored procedures, and database logic
• Conduct regression testing and validate database query performance in collaboration with engineering
• Document defects and participate in reviews of data-handling requirements and system behaviors

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in QA, database or backend testing for SaaS platforms
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of indexing, constraints, schema design, and relational data modeling
• Ability to analyze data discrepancies, performance issues, and structural inconsistencies
• Experience reviewing schema updates and data migration processes
• Ability to work closely with backend engineering, DevOps, and QA teams

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS database services such as RDS or Aurora
• Familiarity with encryption concepts, secure data handling, or zero-knowledge systems
• Experience testing high-scale distributed systems or microservice architectures
• Exposure to database performance profiling or query optimization
