Location: Hybrid in Hamburg, Germany with 3 weeks of remote work per year. Open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Go-based backend microservices, utilizing Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis for asynchronous communication.
• Optimize queries for modern databases like DynamoDB and Scylla to achieve millisecond response times.
• Collaborate with Data Science and BI teams to identify and implement mitigations against system exploits and fraud.
• Implement advanced VPN detection capabilities, including residential proxies.
• Manage the collection and aggregation of billions of daily API events for efficient data lake querying.
• Contribute to scaling a high-traffic adtech platform serving hundreds of millions of users.

Requirements

• 4+ years in software development.
• 3+ years experience building web applications in Go.
• Strong knowledge of databases, Regular Expressions, HTTP protocol, and Encoding.
• Very good understanding of TCP networking and internet routing.
• Open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany.
• Fluent in English (working in an international English-speaking team).

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS).
