What you will do

• Drive development of complex backend applications ensuring high performance and quality.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into backend architectures.
• Develop and maintain backend testing strategies and documentation.
• Incorporate secure coding practices and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for seamless feature integration and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews for backend engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, or North Macedonia
• English: Daily use of well written and spoken English required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of professional backend development experience with Java.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), ORM, databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of backend testing frameworks, microservices architecture, authentication, authorization, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
