IT Vendor Management Lead

IT Vendor Management Lead: Driving the execution and ongoing management of the organization’s vendor strategy to support IT Delivery stakeholders, focusing on cultivating strong vendor partnerships and ensuring IT services align with company objectives. Focus on managing the entire vendor lifecycle, from selection and contracting to performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and achieving cost efficiencies.

Location: Hybrid at Arlington (AOC1), TX office or Detroit, MI. Onsite 2 days a week/3 days remote.

What you will do

• Lead the execution and management of the IT vendor strategy.
• Oversee the complete vendor lifecycle, including selection, contracting, and termination.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensure contractual compliance, and manage relationships.
• Coordinate staff augmentation processes and support IT leadership with resource selection.
• Identify cost efficiencies and investment opportunities with vendor partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams for feedback and reporting on vendor health and delivery performance.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of Vendor Management or Purchasing experience, or functionally related area.
• 5-7+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, and IT operations.
• Project management skills.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and vendor management tools.
• Experience in ITSM, vendor compliance, and risk management.

Nice to have

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (vendor management, accounting, finance) or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with performance metrics analysis and contract negotiation.
• Experience in global vendor environments and multi-location coordination.
