What you will do

• Enhance design and functionality of existing network monitoring and tooling systems like Zabbix, Grafana, and Nautobot
• Utilize programming and automation skills to implement a fully observable network
• Incorporate metrics, logs, and traces to improve system reliability
• Use scripts, APIs, and AI to optimize the network environment

Requirements

• Must relocate to the Bay Area, California for the 12-week internship starting May or June 2026
• Currently pursuing a relevant degree (B.S., B.A, M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree)
• Good academic standing and at least one previous relevant internship or project
• Knowledge of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and VLANs
• Basic server administration skills in Windows and Linux
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell and working with APIs

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and observability tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
