What you will do

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Integrate user-facing elements built with React and Next.js into backend services.
• Build reusable APIs, libraries, and interfaces for scalability.
• Migrate legacy monolithic PHP applications to microservices-based architectures.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and implement security and data protection strategies.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Location: Remote work from Canada.
• 6+ years of backend development experience with strong Node.js, React, and Next.js skills.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and PHP frameworks.
• Knowledge of OWASP security principles and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and Gitflow workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of data privacy compliance regulations (GDPR, PIPEDA, APA, CCPA).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
