Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Climate Tech)

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Climate Tech): Consulting with software delivery teams on SRE principles and tech platform solutions, enhancing internal developer platform, and ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems with an accent on implementing robust monitoring and alerting, designing scalable infrastructure, and continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and capacity planning. Focus on diagnosing complex system bottlenecks, formulating strategies for capacity planning, and maintaining resilient systems under varying demands.

Location: Must have residency in Germany and be able to work from one of our offices in Hamburg, Berlin, or Munich.

What you will do

• Consult with software delivery teams on SRE principles and tech platform solutions.
• Enhance and maintain the internal developer platform.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to meet SLOs.
• Design, build, and maintain resilient, scalable infrastructure.
• Attend post-incident reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Execute performance testing, analyze bottlenecks, and plan capacity for future demands.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering (DevOps), Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Proficiency in Python, GoLang, or TypeScript.
• Prior experience in incident management and implementing improvements.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues systematically.
• Good experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its observability services.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
• Residency in Germany is required.
