What you will do

  • Lead a team of Developer Advocates, guiding work priorities and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Contribute to defining and executing team OKRs and overall team strategy.
  • Ensure the team consistently ships high-quality output by removing technical and procedural roadblocks.
  • Balance management duties with hands-on delivery, contributing high-quality technical content (e.g., videos, talks).
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, on Advocacy initiatives.

Requirements

  • Former software developer, SRE, or other technical practitioner with strong technical judgment and experience with production systems.
  • 2-5 years experience managing a small team, including coaching performance and breaking down complex projects.
  • Experienced developer advocate skilled at reaching software developers through multiple channels (written content, conference talks, workshops, live streaming, open source).
  • Comfortable with at least 2 programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, bash).
  • Familiar with modern infrastructure such as IaaS cloud services and containers.
