🦄 Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Senior VFX Artist to join the team working on The Witcher 4, the first game in a brand-new saga. The role combines artistic vision with strong technical expertise, focusing on creating high-quality real-time effects and developing creative and technical solutions to enhance storytelling and immersion.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Create high-quality real-time visual effects for gameplay, environments and cinematics
• Collaborate with artists, designers and engineers to build stunning and performant VFX
• Develop creative and technical solutions that enhance storytelling
• Explore new tools, workflows and techniques for real-time VFX
• Ensure VFX assets meet artistic standards and technical constraints
• Work with leads and producers to estimate and plan work
📚 Required Skills
• Proven game development experience with Unreal Engine
• Strong artistic sensibility and eye for detail, composition and motion
• Advanced skills with VFX tools and pipelines, including Niagara
• Ability to create complex materials in Unreal Engine
• Solid understanding of real-time rendering, lighting, shaders and PBR
• Expertise in real-time simulations and optimization
• Proactive mindset and openness to feedback
• Experience delivering impactful, self-directed work
• Clear and empathetic communication skills
• Portfolio showcasing excellence in VFX for games
• Proficient English
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with procedural content creation in Houdini
• Experience with Blueprint scripting
• Experience applying VFX in cinematic pipelines
