What you will do

• Lead long-term projects involving multiple team members, requiring mature software engineering and design skills to enable new research.
• Address breakages and implement new features rapidly for time-sensitive projects.
• Provide technical support and answer researchers’ questions, requiring deep understanding of the codebase and broad knowledge of the tech stack, model architecture, and data pipeline.
• Develop the right balance between good engineering practices and a flexible, easy-to-use codebase for researchers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proven track record of maintaining, improving, and testing a complex codebase with hundreds of users.
• Enjoy working and interacting with people with different skill sets and needs, communicating effectively with them.
• Comfortable working with people distributed across different timezones.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with how modern large language models are trained.
• Expertise in machine learning.
