What you will do

• Own well-defined services or components end-to-end, including APIs, events, storage, and consistency, with on-call participation.
• Deliver features from discovery to general availability, contributing to design reviews and technical documentation.
• Build for scale and stability by implementing observability, SLOs, and incident response mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Agentic AI specialists, Product, Security, SRE, and Data teams to design stable interfaces.
• Improve engineering standards through clean code, PR reviews, and contributing to API/event design.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs balancing latency, reliability, security, and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years building backend or platform software with strong ownership.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java, with solid foundations in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems design.
• Experience with service and event-driven architectures (REST/gRPC; Kafka/Kinesis/SQS) and data modeling.
• Comfortable with AWS (IAM, networking, DynamoDB/RDS, S3, ECS/Lambda/serverless) and modern DevOps/SRE practices.
• Curiosity about Agentic AI and LLM-adjacent workloads.
• Strong communication skills: able to align with Product and explain complex ideas simply.

Nice to have

• Experience with analytics and data tooling (e.g., Apache Spark, Pandas).
• Experience with batch data processing (Spark/Flink/EMR/Glue).
• Understanding of LLM systems concepts (tool use/orchestration, retrieval, evals) and cost/latency trade-offs.
• Experience with observability at scale and security, privacy, and governance of enterprise software.
