What you will do

• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code across full-stack projects.
• Lead technical discussions and propose solutions to improve team performance.
• Analyze and solve complex problems contributing to team goals.
• Lead and complete medium-sized projects or components independently.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to communicate technical concepts effectively.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Sydney, Australia (onsite)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
• Proficiency with Node.js, microservices, Docker, cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Subscriptions technology (WebSockets, Pub/Sub), TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, or other server-side rendering frameworks like React + NextJS, Vue + Nuxt.
• Knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and Storybook.
