What you will do
- Deliver a next-generation, Kubernetes-based internal developer platform to form a strong foundation.
- Ensure resilient and scalable platform architecture and automated cluster and infrastructure management.
- Provide new capabilities such as progressive delivery and multi-stage deployment pipelines.
- Reduce friction through self-service application lifecycle workflows and golden-path application infrastructure abstractions.
- Lead projects within large-scale initiatives that cross organizational boundaries.
- Collaborate closely with teammates to deliver capabilities that improve development speed, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience delivering successful outcomes on business critical infrastructure / platform projects.
- Deep experience automating cloud infrastructure on AWS using tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters (e.g., EKS), automating their lifecycles, and maintaining production SLOs.
- Experience with multiple backend languages (preferably Python, Go, and/or Typescript).
- Solid foundations in networking concepts and comfort in a Linux terminal environment.
- Must be located in the U.S. and eligible to work in the U.S. for remote option, or available for hybrid work in NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
Nice to have
- Production experience with FluxCD, ArgoCD, Kargo, AWS Controller for Kubernetes (ACK), and/or Crossplane.
- Designed and developed CI/CD pipelines meant to serve multiple teams/applications.
- Contributed to open-source projects in the platform space.
- Prior experience as a product developer before moving into platform development.
- Use modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity.
