What you will do

• Design and implement multi-step AI agents capable of planning, tool usage, and iterative problem solving.
• Develop orchestration services coordinating multiple models, agents, and tools with policy logic and routing.
• Integrate agents with internal and external APIs, databases, and transactional systems ensuring safety and error handling.
• Manage agent context and state across workflows including working memory and long-running sessions.
• Implement reliability, safety checks, and fallback policies for predictable agent behavior.
• Build observability tools such as tracing, logging, and dashboards to diagnose and improve agent performance.

Requirements

• Must be located in London or able to commute for hybrid work (3:2 on-site policy)
• English proficiency at least B2
• 4+ years in software, ML engineering, or applied AI with experience shipping LLM-based systems.
• Strong Python programming and backend service development skills (REST/gRPC, microservices).
• Experience with agentic or orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Autogen) or similar custom systems.
• Solid understanding of system design including latency, throughput, and reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience designing multi-agent or multi-stage workflows.
• Background integrating LLMs with transactional systems or external APIs.
• Familiarity with safety/guardrail systems like policy engines and content filters.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containers (Docker), and observability tools.
