TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer, Player Dynamics (C++ / Game Development): Building and optimizing gameplay features and backend services for VALORANT's Player Dynamics team with an accent on fair play and communication systems. What you will do
- Design, build, and deliver gameplay features and backend services.
- Lead projects with teammates and in collaboration with other teams and disciplines.
- Seek out and champion development process improvements, upholding high engineering standards.
- Provide mentorship to more junior members of the team.
- Troubleshoot live service issues as part of an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in professional software development.
- 3+ years professional experience with C++.
- Experience collaborating on cross-team development efforts on software projects, including requirements gathering, planning, and release coordination.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and shipping code in a real-time 3D environments (e.g., Unity, Unreal, Godot).
- Experience developing within gameplay systems for Unreal Engine games.
- Experience with Perforce and/or GitHub version control systems.
- Experience developing and shipping code for high load real-time services.
