What you will do

• Recruit, manage, coach, and develop a team of Financial Crimes Operations Associates focused on AML investigations.
• Guide the team in identifying money laundering, terrorism financing, and sanction risks.
• Drive operational delivery and process improvements to mitigate financial crime risks while balancing efficiency and user impact.
• Build a positive team culture ensuring engagement, effectiveness, and career growth.
• Set clear goals and provide regular performance feedback.
• Use data-driven analysis to guide team performance and decision making.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of direct people management experience.
• Expertise in AML regulations and financial crimes investigations.
• Experience in payments, risk, compliance, or financial services operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders.
• Strong operational background including process launches and service delivery.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial crime regulatory frameworks such as BSA Patriot Act, OFAC, and EU AML Directives.
• Familiarity with financial crime technology stacks including watchlist management and transaction monitoring.
• Experience building and scaling new teams from zero.
• Experience in high growth technology companies.
