Maas Systems Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Develop MAAS software using Python to manage diverse server and network hardware.
• Create integrations and contribute to testing and scheduling tools like Testflinger.
• Operate and maintain a fully automated server lab with cutting-edge hardware.
• Automate hardware and network monitoring to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers, hardware specialists, and kernel teams to ensure smooth Ubuntu certification and deployment.

Requirements

• Must be based in Toronto and work on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, preferably Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Proficient in Python programming and Linux administration.
• Strong curiosity and problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems.
• Effective English communication skills and ability to work with a global team.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Nice to have

• Experience with rack and virtual systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and systematic testing skills.
