What you will do

• Identify, triage, and fix critical system-level problems in Ubuntu.
• Collaborate with upstream open source projects to apply and champion patches.
• Provide software and system engineering support for OEM and ODM customers.
• Work closely with project managers and QA engineers to ensure quality.
• Occasional international travel to EU, USA, China, and Taiwan.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Beijing, China
• Participation in open-source development projects.
• Strong passion for Linux and open source.
• English: Strong communication skills in English, especially online.
• Excellent time-management and self-motivation skills.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated open source contributions.
• Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese.
