What you will do

• Write high-quality, well-designed, and well-tested Python software
• Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team
• Provide technical leadership within hirify.global and open source communities
• Debug and fix issues with high-quality code
• Contribute to comprehensive technical documentation
• Participate in biannual global company events

Requirements

• Professional written and spoken English
• Experience writing modern, maintainable Python code
• Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver on schedule
• Ability to travel twice a year for company events
• Passion for open source and collaboration

Nice to have

• Experience with container technologies such as LXD, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of build systems and cross-compilation toolchains
• Additional programming languages: Golang, Rust, C, C++
• Experience with web or Flutter front-end development
• REST and gRPC API experience
• SQL and NoSQL database expertise
• Experience with public clouds or OpenStack
• Debian/Ubuntu packaging experience
• Systems programming or scalable web services experience
• Performance engineering and security experience
