What you will do
- Work with advanced operating systems and network application technologies
- Participate upstream and deliver the Ubuntu SoNIC stack
- Collaborate with public clouds and network silicon providers
- Design and implement software-defined networking for data centers
- Write high-quality, secure, and well-documented software
- Display technical leadership and influence open source communities
Requirements
- Location: Office based in Beijing, China
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of networking architecture, design, and protocols
- Fluency in C/C++ and at least one of Rust, Python, or Golang
- Professional written and spoken English
- Experience with Linux networking from kernel to user space
- Ability to travel twice a year for company events
Nice to have
- Familiarity with open source networking technologies like SONIC, DPDK, eBPF
- Experience with hardware acceleration protocols such as RDMA, RoCE
- Knowledge of computer architectures like x86, ARM, RISC-V
- Experience with virtualization technologies (QEMU, KVM)
- Previous open source contributions and community involvement
- Performance engineering and security experience
