What you will do

• Work with advanced operating systems and network application technologies
• Participate upstream and deliver the Ubuntu SoNIC stack
• Collaborate with public clouds and network silicon providers
• Design and implement software-defined networking for data centers
• Write high-quality, secure, and well-documented software
• Display technical leadership and influence open source communities

Requirements

• Location: Office based in Beijing, China
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of networking architecture, design, and protocols
• Fluency in C/C++ and at least one of Rust, Python, or Golang
• Professional written and spoken English
• Experience with Linux networking from kernel to user space
• Ability to travel twice a year for company events

Nice to have

• Familiarity with open source networking technologies like SONIC, DPDK, eBPF
• Experience with hardware acceleration protocols such as RDMA, RoCE
• Knowledge of computer architectures like x86, ARM, RISC-V
• Experience with virtualization technologies (QEMU, KVM)
• Previous open source contributions and community involvement
• Performance engineering and security experience
