What you will do

  • Manage and lead a distributed engineering team focused on sustaining engineering and software defect resolution
  • Hire, coach, mentor, and provide career development guidance to team members
  • Manage KPIs, training, and support timely delivery of bug fixes and patches
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
  • Advocate modern software development practices and foster a healthy engineering culture
  • Travel globally up to 10% for internal and external events

Requirements

  • Professional software delivery experience with C, C++, Go, Python, or similar languages
  • Strong leadership experience in organizing and prioritizing complex problem resolution
  • Experience with version control (git) and debugging tools (gdb, crash)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Linux, preferably Ubuntu, and open source business models
  • People management experience in a support organization is a strong plus
