What you will do

• Provide software and system engineering services for OEM and ODM customers.
• Collaborate closely with partners on platform bring up and hardware integration.
• Identify, triage, and fix critical problems with project managers and QA engineers.
• Work with upstream projects to apply patches and conduct root cause analysis.
• Facilitate communication between Ubuntu, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.
• Travel internationally occasionally to EU, USA, Taiwan, and China.

Requirements

• Location: Must be office based in Taipei, Taiwan
• Bachelor or higher degree in STEM, preferably Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
• Experience with C, Python, Bash, Linux kernel, bootloader development (u-boot), and Linux debugging.
• Experience with Arm or non-x86 platforms and system-level architecture.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.

Nice to have

• Experience with system firmware including UEFI, ACPI, DSDT, and device firmware.
• Experience debugging power management and board design.
• Familiarity with Ubuntu development model and shell/python scripting.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
