What you will do

• Lead design and implementation of an advanced automated Linux kernel build control system.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate solutions into the hirify.global ecosystem.
• Deeply analyze and optimize kernel build tools such as kbuild, kconfig, and make.
• Innovate solutions to kernel build challenges and drive acceptance upstream.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Europe, Middle East, or Africa.
• Strong programming skills in Python; C skills highly regarded.
• Experience with Linux kernel patching, configuration, and advanced git usage.
• Knowledge of kconfig and build systems beyond basic usage.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with open-source projects like Yocto or buildroot for custom Linux distributions.

Nice to have

• Javascript or Golang programming skills.
• Experience writing CLI tools and interacting with REST APIs.
• Background in CI/CD and process automation.
• Experience with software packaging formats, especially Ubuntu/Debian/Snap.
