What you will do
- Collaborate remotely with a globally distributed team.
- Write clean web service APIs using Python and optionally Golang.
- Design and implement new features from specification to production at scale.
- Review code and technical designs from other engineers.
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions.
- Participate in global travel for internal and external events 2 to 4 weeks per year.
Requirements
- Location: Remote, worldwide.
- Professional proficiency in developing public-facing APIs and web applications using Python.
- Experience with backend code, infrastructure, and database design (relational and non-relational).
- Comfortable working with Ubuntu as development and deployment platform.
- Strong academic background in Computer Science, STEM, or similar.
- Passion for technology, open source, and working with diverse teams.
- Good communication, flexibility, and accountability.
