What you will do

• Design and implement features for a lean OpenTelemetry collection engine.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, especially in Kubernetes environments.
• Write robust code with unit and integration tests.
• Contribute to the upstream OpenTelemetry open source project.
• Analyze and improve backend system efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with the team to respond quickly to business needs and support CI and on-call production.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Bengaluru or Noida, India
• B.Tech, M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5-8 years of industry experience with proven ownership.
• Experience with GoLang or other statically typed languages; willingness to learn GoLang.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of data structures and ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Nice to have

• Contributions to open source projects, especially OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other CI pipelines.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming and distributed systems.
• Comfortable with Unix-type operating systems and container/orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform.
• Agile software development experience.
