QA Engineer

Product: 18+ video streaming service
Salary: 1.5-2.5K EUR (net)
Team language: Russian, but English is required for tools and documentation

Key Responsibilities:
 -Plan, develop, and execute manual test cases for Web UI and API
 - Verify and validate core user flows
 - Perform API testing (authentication, user data, and other endpoints)
 - Collaborate with developers and product managers to define acceptance criteria and required test coverage
 - Create and track defects in Jira, ClickUp, or similar systems, ensuring reproducibility and clear descriptions
 - Analyze root causes of issues and maintain test reports to support continuous quality improvement.
 
 Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in QA for web applications
- Ability to build QA processes and test documentation from scratch
- Understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing
- Proven experience with API testing (Postman, Newman, or similar tools)
- Familiarity with browser debugging tools for media/network tasks (DevTools, Charles Proxy, etc.)
- Knowledge of HTTP, JSON, authentication schemes, and web session mechanics
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and solid communication skills
- Familiarity with video streaming (HLS playback: buffering, resolution switching, error recovery, latency).

Nice to Have:
 - Experience in test automation using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
 - Participation in regression and release testing within a CI/CD pipeline.
